I got a new book the other day. Since junior year, I've been a fan of the house of night series. Sure the writing is, well terrible, but the story line is interesting and quite frankly, I can't stand starting a book series and never finishing it. So the newest one has finally hit the shelves. Burned. It's pretty good so far. Every chapter is about smokin hot guys and the battle between
good and evil in a world where vampyres and humans co-exist.
I also have tried to keep myself busy with graduation planning. I have to address 60 envelopes today and mail them all out today.
Saturday is prom. A Romance In Rome. Who thinks of that crap? I don't really understand the point of obscurely themed proms. I mean, no one dresses up to match the theme except for a few of the weird kids. Granted, I do qualify as a weird kid but no way am I going to my senior prom with entwined leaves in my hair, a toga, and a rockin pair of gladiaters. I wonder if they got the idea from that cute movie that came out a while ago, When In Rome..... Well I have most everything done and prepared for saturday. Thursday I just have to go get my nails done and pick up my shoes. I think I'm picking my dress up tommorow from the woman who altered it for me. That was an interesting day. We get there and her house is kind of gross. I'm not judging really, it's just that you know you are having company over, how hard is it to run the vaccume? And she has like 20 animals running around yipping and meowing. One thing to know about me, I hate little dogs. As Jeff Dunham says, there is a list that qualifies a dog to be a dog and if I can easily punt the dog over a fence, it is not a dog. I can't stand how they shake, their stupid bark, or their constant need for attention. Anyhoo, I went to put on the dress so she could fit me for it and it took longer actually getting the dress on than it did her measuring it and figuring out what needed to be takin in. All the while, I'm stressing over the retarded zipper on this really expensive dress. The dress is actually two dress sizes too big, so that wasn't the problem. The zipper is just mechanically challenged. It also didn't help how I had 5 tiny dogs yipping away the entire time I was there. So, besides that monstrosity, everything's good. One can only pray that my perfect dress isn't currently getting pissed on by a chiwawua.
