I'm completely out of me slum of a state,I really think it was this weekend.
Everything was just about perfect.
There are a lot of other factors too.
For one, I know what my future looks like,
and it's good.
I'll be off to college in the fall.
Yes I'm sad to say goodbye to high school
and my friends.
I know that it's possible that in 5 years,
I may not talk to the people I love today
as often as I do now.
But I'm excited to get out on my own,
and apply the lessons I've learned through life.
I also have finally started to accept being Catholic again.
You may or may not know that I renounced my religion
5 years ago.
I tried Buddhism,
But I noticed that despite what I tried to believe,
God was always in my mind.
I understand the having a religion is a way of life.
And it teaches you to be the best person you can be.
Yes, I still don't believe in Heaven or Hell,
but to me, that's just motivation to be a good person.
I want to be good because I know that's right.
I don't want to be good just so I don't spend eternity in Hell.
Which I know is the right way to go about it.
I am also very excited to graduate this year
and spend the best summer of my life with my friends and family.
I can't wait to party until the sun comes up.
And sleep under the stars by the fire.
I'm ready to hang out at the fat kid park past curfew and
hide from cops when they drive by.
I also have a quit date set for smoking.
It's going to be June 25th.
After my openhouse
and once my brother leaves.
I'm waiting that long because I guarentee that
that week is going to be extremely stressful
and if I quit today,
I'll be smoking again anyway.
I also want to start swimming again everyday.
I can't stand the look of my body in the mirror,
and I feel completely unhealthy.
Oh yah, I also got a solo in band today that I've wanted
since March so that's a big plus.
I love winning =]

Good luck with the smoking thing, also, I wouldn't worry too much about losing your friends. Unless they weren't very good friends to begin with, you will all keep in touch beyond high school, even if you're not close to each other.
I'm not sure what to tell you about the whole religion bit, but perhaps you shouldn't try too hard to find one, just don't worry about it. I don't really know how to approach this one though, so my advice won't be very good regardless.
