I skipped school and went on a shopping spree in Lansing. I got my dress and shoes for Winterfest (a semi-formal dance my school holds every year). I also got a pair of sexy boots and a nice shirt. My mom was with me too. After shopping we were supposed to get sushi but I had no appetite thanks to this stupid cold I have aquired a few days ago. So we went to Olga's instead. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich but I could only stare at it sadly as my mom chatted away on the phone.
That is the worst thing about being sick. I'm never frikin hungry and the idea of food makes me cringe.
So we left for home with our purchases in the trunk and leftovers in the back seat.
I immeadiatly hung up my clothes and started to get dressed. Jess and I had plans to go The Basement and see our friend Josh play crazy beats.I wouldn't really call it music more as performance art.
So we decide to arrive fashionably late because the last time we went there it took an hour just for the band to set up.
With a fresh pack of cigarettes and a hundred extra stops to my house because we needed a bunch of stuff we kept forgetting about, we finally made our way into the heart of Lansing. Using the GPS on my phone we almost made it there without getting lost.
The show was weird and we talked about how I was a horse and how there was a creeper rapist bumb dismounting in the alley.
no that didn't really happen. haha
After watchin hipstahbeatz, the next band wasnt gonna be there til 10 so we left to find something better to do.
The fates took us to The Sugar Shack. Cupcake delivery and a hot spot for drunks on their way home with a serious case of the munchies. They stay open until 2 am.
After getting giant delicious cupcakes we went to the market next door for some water and laffy taffy. We eventually decided to go back to the Basement because it was 10:30 and we had no better place to go. After ten minutes of trance like music and 3 cigartettes later, we decided to roll out.
Jess and I enjoyed an hour in her ghetto hot tub talking about whatever.
I went home and ate the Olga's leftovers my dad hadn't already scavenged, took two doses of nyquil, popped in the movie Dillinger and settled down for a good nights rest.
